Back when I had a job, Nathan was always taking off to do fun things without me while I was at work. I would smile sweetly as he recounted his adventures, seeming positive and encouraging. I would say things like, "I am SO glad you got to go." "Well, at least one of us has to have some fun around here." "I'm just happy knowing you're happy."
One big load of hooey.
Really, I was secretly planning the day when sweet justice would be mine. The day when I would go and frolic about with not a care on my mind besides what snacks I should bring, while he was the one who was stuck toiling away at work.
Recently, my dreams were fulfilled as I got to spend a day on Big Bear Lake with some friends. The company was fantastic, the weather perfect, and the food delicious.
The only thing that could have made it any better was Nate.
That's actually a very pretty lake. Hi Little Timmy! Sucks for you Nathan.
ReplyDeleteTake that Nathan! Bryce left me a couple weeks ago to go on adventures in Utah while I slaved away at school. Jerks I tell ya, Jerks!
ReplyDeleteWhy is half of what I think is a Miller Boy's head missing in that first shot? Looks like fun, tell Tim hi from Bertha. :)
ReplyDeleteOh Jess, I knew you'd be the one to notice. And if not just notice, say something about it. I'm still trying to hone my panoramic picture taking skills. If you think half a missing head is bad, you should have seen the others.
ReplyDeleteI just realized while reading your response that I have transfered the skeptical-question-to-convey-disapproval from life to blog form. Not cool... I'm Sorry. I think your blog and your panoramic photos are lovely. *hopeful smile*
